Scams in Old School RuneScape

Scams in Old School RuneScape

RuneScape is a popular online multiplayer game that has been around for over 20 years. During that time, scammers have found many ways to exploit players and steal their hard-earned RuneScape Gold.

Some of the most common scams in Old School RuneScape include:

• Doubling money: This is a classic scam where the scammer promises to double the victim’s money. The scammer will typically ask for a small amount of money to start, and then they will disappear with the victim’s money after the trade is complete.
Armor trimming: This scam involves the scammer offering to trim the victim’s armor for them. However, the scammer cannot actually trim armor, and they will simply take the victim’s armor and run away.
• Item look-alikes: This scam involves the scammer noting an item that looks like a more expensive one. For example, the scammer might note a black highwayman’s cape to make it look like an obsidian cape. The victim will then trade the scammer for the noted item, only to realize that they have been scammed.
• Quick removal: This scam involves the scammer quickly removing an item from the trade window and then hitting accept. The victim will then be left with nothing, while the scammer gets away with the item.
• The ‘friend’ scam: This scam involves the scammer adding the victim as a friend and then sending them a message asking for help. The scammer will claim that they are stuck in a dangerous situation and need the victim’s help. The victim will then trade the scammer some money or items, only to realize that they have been scammed.

These are just a few of the many scams that exist in Old School RuneScape. It is important to be aware of these scams so that you can protect yourself from being scammed.

Here are some tips to help you avoid being scammed:

• Never trust anyone who promises to double your money.
• Don’t give anyone your password or bank PIN.
• Be careful about what items you trade.
• If you need to buy OSRS Gold can choose RSgoldfast safe and cheap.

By following these tips, you can help to protect yourself from being scammed in Old School RuneScape.

In addition to the scams listed above, there are also a number of phishing scams that target RuneScape players. These scams involve the scammer sending the victim a link that looks like it is from Jagex. However, the link is actually from a fake website that is designed to steal the victim’s login information.

If you receive a link from someone that you don’t know, it is important to be very careful before clicking on it. You can also check the link by hovering over it with your mouse. By being aware of the different types of scams that exist in Old School RuneScape, you can help to protect yourself from being scammed.

OSRS Barrows Guide

OSRS Barrows Guide

Barrows Brother, also known as the best money-making method in-game since its addition in the year 2005. It’s quite obvious why it’s a good method to make OSRS Gold – because players have a chance to obtain various Barrows items that are attributed to the six brothers. However, while you’re in a battle against them, there are specific mechanics that you have to follow, or you’ll end up being dead. Let’s begin this barrows guide osrs!

Important Requirements

Participating in the Barrows minigame doesn’t have any special requirements (other than a quest), but it’s important that your stats are high enough to protect yourself from the damages caused by the brothers. The OSRS quest that you have to complete is Priest in Peril to access the area, along with Nature Spirit, which only requires you to start it.

Recommended Requirements

It is recommended that you complete the Rum Deal quest, as well as 50% of the Morytania Hard Diary to gain access to the Holy Wench and a chance to obtain more runes from the chest. Other than that, let’s have a gander at the minimum recommended stats – 60 Attack (Whip requires 70), 60 Strength, 60 Defense (Barrows’ armor requires 70), 61 Ranged (Blowpipe requires 75), 50 Magic (Trident requires 75), 43 Prayer, and a decent Agility level to decrease your run depletion process.

Recommended Equipment

The Barrows Brothers have low magic defense, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re wearing magic gear or gear of another attack style, because you’ll still damage them. However, do note that if you end up dying, you’ll without a doubt lose your items, until or unless you retrieve them on time.

Here are some of the best-in-slot equipment for your osrs barrows setup:
Helm – Ancestral hat > Barrows’ helmet > Dragon full helm > Helm of neitiznot, Necklace – Occult necklace > Amulet of fury > Amulet of glory > Amulet of power, Cape – Infernal cape > Imbued god cape > Fire cape > Trimmed skill cape > Ardougne cloak, Body – Ancestral robe top > Barrows’ plate body > Dragon plate body > Fighter torso, Legs – Ancestral robe bottom > Barrows’ plate legs > Dragon plate legs > Rune plate legs, Shield – God book > Dragon fire shield > Crystal shield > Toktz-ket-xil, Gloves – Barrows osrs gloves > Tormented bracelet > Dragon gloves > Combat bracelet, Boots – Primordial boots > Bandos boots > Dragon boots > Granite boots, Ring – Archers’ ring (I) > Archers’ ring > Ring of suffering (I) > Seers’ ring (I) > Ring of dueling

How To Get There?

There are numerous ways to reach the Barros minigame, but the best-suggested ones are; using a Barrows Teleportation Tablet to directly reach the spot, Slave Graveyard Teleport or the Fairy Ring (Code: BKR) to reach the swamps of Mort Myre. From the swamps, you can head south and easily get there. There’s another swift way to get there with the help of agility (level 50 required): Use the Fairy Ring (Code: BIP) to reach the location, then head east, and then turn towards south to reach Barrows osrs.

Game Mechanics

When you reach the area, you’ll notice six grave mounds. You will need to stand on top of the mound and dig using a spade to enter a crypt. Upon entering, you’ll find a Sarcophagus, which needs to be searched for the brother to appear and attack you. Similarly, you’ll be going to have to kill 5 brothers in their crypts and then move to the sixth mound, which will give you access to a tunnel.

These tunnels will have nine rooms, and you have to make your way through to the room in the center where the final reward can be obtained. Some of the doors are locked, so you’ll have to around them to reach the spot, and there’s no telling what creatures reside behind them. While passing from door to door, you may at times trigger the game’s mechanics where the sixth brother will appear and attack you. However, if he doesn’t, then when you open the rewarding chest, he’ll for sure come around to attack. Once the brother is defeated and the chest has been successfully searched, the tunnel will start to collapse. So, in this barrows guide osrs we highly recommend you to make your way out as soon as possible or you’ll start to deal damage.

You have to complete a puzzle to enter the treasure room.

Strategy

1.The best-known strategy for prayer optimization would be to start off with Dharok. He wears Melee equipment which makes him vulnerable against Magic attacks. Make sure that you have Protect from Melee active at all times because Dharok’s attacks can hit up to 64 on lower HP.

  1. The second target should be Karil. He wears Ranged equipment which makes him vulnerable against Magic attacks (similar to Dharok). Make sure that you have to Protect from Missiles active at all times because Karil’s attacks yield a 25% chance to hit successfully, and each hit reduces 20% of your Agility.
  2. The third target should be Ahrim. He wears Magic equipment which makes him vulnerable against Ranged attacks. Make sure that you have Protect from Magic active at all times because Ahrim’s attacks yield a 20% chance to hit successfully, and each hit reduces your strength by 5. He also uses Confuse, Weaken, and Curse spells that can lower your Attack, Strength, and Defense stats.
  3. The fourth target should be Verac. He wears Melee equipment which makes him vulnerable against Magic attacks (similar to Dharok and Karil). Make sure that you have Protect from Melee active at all times because Verac’s attacks yield a 25% chance to hit successfully, and each hit disregards your defence, protection prayers, and armour bonus.
  4. The fifth target should be Guthan. He wears Melee equipment which makes him vulnerable against Magic attacks (similar to Dharok, Karil, and Verac). Make sure that you have Protect from Melee active at all times because Guthan’s attacks yield a 25% chance to hit successfully, and each hit helps in recovering his own health, making it harder to defeat him.
  5. Finally, the last brother you’ll have to face is Torag. He wears Melee equipment which makes him vulnerable against Magic attacks (similar to Dharok, Karil, Verac, and Guthan). Make sure that you have Protect from Melee active at all times because Torag’s attacks yield a 25% chance to hit successfully, and each hit can deplete your stamina by 20%.

OSRS Drake Guide

OSRS Drake Guide

General information

Drakes are combat-level 192 monsters with a max hit of 15 which moves up to 32 through their special attack. You get 268 XP per kill and they’re weak to both Melee and Magic attack styles. You need a Slayer level of at least 84 to approach them.

Location

You a find Drakes in the depths of the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon, which is beneath mount Karuulm. You can easily get there if you have access to the Fairy Ring network (Code: CIR). You’ll get teleported just south of the mountain and can walk the rest of the way which is close.

Make sure you have Granite, Brimstone, or regular Stone Boots, or else you’ll be taking significant damage within the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon. If you’ve completed the Elite part of Kourend & Kebos Diaries, then you can ignore wearing them.

How to fight them?

Make sure you have ‘protect from missiles’ active at all times while fighting Drakes. This is done to avoid any damage apart from the ones coming through melee attacks. You’ll either need an Anti-Dragon Shield for their special attack, or you’ll have to avoid them yourself.

The attack is used after every 5 to 7 regular hits, and it can deal up to 8 damage 4 times in a row, making it a total of 32. You can avoid it by moving a few blocks away when it casts the fireballs at you.

Gear

The best-in-slot weapon to defeat them is the Dragon Hunter Lance because it rips through their defense. If you can’t afford it, a Tentacle Whip is a good alternative. You can also look into the AFK-able approach by combining Dragon Fire Shield with Anti-Fire Potions. This will completely negate the special attacks.

Setup

For the helm slot, get a Slayer Helmet, Neitiznot Faceguard, Helm of Neitiznot, Berserker Helm, or Verac’s Helm. For the amulet slot, get an Amulet of Torture, an Amulet of Fury, or an Amulet of Glory. For the cape slot, get an Infernal Cape, Fire Cape, Cape of Accomplishment, or Ardougne Cloak 4. For the body slot, get a Bandos Chest, Fighter Torso, or Verac’s Brassard. For the leg slot, get a Bandos Tassets or Verac’s Skirt.

For the weapon slot, get a Dragon Hunter Lance, Ghrazi Rapier, Blade of Saeldor (c), Abyssal Tentacle, or Abyssal Whip. For the shield slot, get an Avernic Defender, Dragon Defender, Dragon Fire Shield, or Anti-Dragon Shield. For the ammunition slot, get Rada’s Blessing 4, God Blessing, or Rada’s Blessing 3 or 2.

For the gloves slot, get Ferocious Gloves or Barrows’ Gloves. For the shoe slot, get Primordial Boots, Dragon Boots, Guardian Boots, Granite Boots, Brimstone Boots, or Boots of Stone. For the ring slot, get a Berserker Ring (I), Brimstone Ring, or a regular Berserker Ring. For using a special attack, get Dragon Claws, Crystal Halberd, or a Dragon Warhammer.

Inventory

For the inventory, you’ll be needing Manta Rays or Sharks, 1 or 2 Super Combat Potions, 4 to 6 Prayer Potions, Stamina Potion, Rune Pouch (Fire & Nature Runes), House Teleport, and Dramen Staff or the Skills Necklace. We recommend getting a Dwarf Multi-Cannon to speed up your kills.

Drops

Other than bones, Drakes drop Herbs, Seeds, Gems, and much more. Some of its valuable drops are Drake’s Tooth, Drake’s Cloth, 100 to 200 Dragon Thrown Axe, and 100 to 200 Dragon Knives. There are also untradeable drops like Clue Scroll (Hard) and the Brimstone Key.

How to Smite Out Good Items in Runescape

How to Smite Out Good Items in Runescape

What does smiting out mean?

It is to use either the smite or soul split prayer to make an opponent in the wilderness lose all their prayer points and get a valuable item they would normally protect. Unfortunately, this only works in a pay to play world.

Finding the player with the highest chance to successfully smite.

So I’ve smited out an Armadyl Godsword and Dragon Claws so I have some experience in smiting out other players. Most of it is just pure luck, however, there are some ways I have found to increase your chances of smiting out your opponent. First of all, I find that most players who have been smited once never let it happen again so try finding someone who has never been smited for a good item before if possible. Another big advantage is fighting someone with only the normal prayer book. These players normally have 70 or below prayer levels so therefore are easier to smite. I like to look up my opponents high scores before I fight them, not only to see if they are easily smitable, but also if they have a high level skill I should be aware of.

How to smite out your opponent.

Even if your opponent isn’t very easy to smite, there are still some general rules to follow to increase your chances of smiting them. The first, and probably most obvious one, is if you EVER see their prayer drop, immediately go for the kill if you think you have a chance of killing him. Most of the time you will hit badly, however, when you do manage to kill him you will almost always get their item. Sometimes you get extremely unlucky and they manage to put protect item back on, but that rarely happens. Another tip that can help is one of the best times to kill your opponent is after he or she eats four or five times. This of course can vary from fight to fight but I find that I smite out items the most when I kill them around that time. If your a pure, you might want to try a little earlier since pures often don’t get past 52 prayer.

Keep on trying!

Even if you follow this guide perfectly, you will not smite out a player every time you kill them. I simply find that these methods increase the chances of smiting your opponent significantly. So don’t get discouraged! Make sure you keep your prayer up as well. Don’t wanna get to focused on smiting out your opponent and then get smited yourself! Most of all, have fun!
